Indian National Congress candidate and Gujarat governor Navalkoshor Sharma’s son Brij Kishor Sharma has won Rajasthan assembly election from Jaipur’s Hawa Mahal constituency. He secured victory by margin of only 580 votes defeating his nearest rival BJP candidate.

Brij Kishor Sharma was challenged by 16 candidates including 7 Muslim candidates. Earlier in 2003 assembly elections he had won from Jaipur rural constituency.
