Mercedes Benz buses launched on Ahmedabad-Rajkot-Jamnagar route

Rajkot based Eagle Travels has launched four Mercedez Benz buses on Ahmedabad-Rajkot-Jamnagar route.
Gujarat Finance Minister Vajubhai Vala inaugurated this bus service in Rajkot. The service would be launched in Ahmedabad within two days.
Talking to DeshGujarat, Managing Director of Eagle Travel Agency(Eagle Corporation Private Limited) Jayendra Bavaria said “We have bought four Mercedes Benz buses that will run on Ahmedabad to Rajkot and Rajkot to Jamnagar route nonstop. Due to extra powerful engine, Mercedes bus will take only three hours between Ahmedabad and Rajkot. As of now, our Volvo bus takes 3:45 hours on the same route. Thus Mercedes will cut 45 minutes time. Mercedes bus is fire resistant, it has world best suspension for excellent ambiance, a powerful drive unit, high performance in all situation, powerful torque, and an Euro-lll engine.”
“It was Eagle travels that introduced Volvo buse service and in-bus washroom facility in Gujarat. Now we are proud to launch Rs 84 lakh Mercedes bus in the state which is 12% costlier than Volvo bus. As of now only 10 Mercedes Benz buses are on road in entire India. Four of them are with Eagle Travel,” said Bavaria.
Eagle’s new Mercedes Benz bus service will include in-bus facilities like mineral water, cold drink, newspaper, snacks and entertainment video through two LCD screens. The bus coaches are built for two by two seating journey and have not sleeping facility. Eagle’s 14 drivers are specially trained at Pune based Mercedes facility. Fair between Ahmedabad and Rajkot would be Rs 300(same as what they charge for Volvo) including all according to Bavaria.
Eagle travel owns fleet of 70 buses including 20 Volvo.
