Modi offers help to Gujarati students in Australia

Expressing concern over the racial attacks on Indian students in Australia, Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi yesterday said his government was prepared to help students from the state studying Down Under.
Modi talked to many students from Gujarat studying in Australia over phone and asked them about the situation there, an official statement said.
The chief minister told them about his government’s preparedness to help the troubled students, who are in need of assistance. He also gave them details on how to get in touch with the Gujarat government, it said.
Many students from Gujarat are studying in various universities in Australia, the statement said.
Modi also requested the External Affairs Minister to take care of the security of Indian students in Australia, it said.
