Ahmedabad’s Taj Residency becomes Hotel Gateway
Ahmedabad, 11 June, 2009

Tata group’s Ahmedabad based Taj Residency Ummed hotel has been brought under the company’s new brand:The Gateway Hotel. Gateway Ahmedabad has become the third property in Gujarat including Surat and Vadodara, P K Mahankumar, Chief Operating Officer (COO) of The Gateway Hotels, said in a press conference here.
So far, 31 hotels have become operational in the country under the brand.
The Gateway Hotel is a new brand from Tata group which is a pan India network of hotels and resorts.
The Taj group will gradually bring all the Taj Residency hotels under Gateway brand while Hotel Taj will remain a luxurious brand catering to premium segment.
The Gateway brand fits between Taj Hotel, which is a luxury hotel and Ginger, which is a budget hotel brand from the Tata group.
