Surat top cop makes vehicle checking compulsory in the night

According to sources, newly appointed Surat Police Commissioner Shivanand Jha has ordered two combing nights per week in the city. Traditionally, combing night operations are carried out between 12:00 am to 2:00 am, but Surat top cop has ordered to continue combing operations even after 2:00 am till 5:00 in the morning.
Jha has also ordered compulsory night-checking on roads and detention of suspicious persons.
Police officials and Inspectors are told to be present on the duty when night-checking is on.
Sources told DeshGujarat, proactive top cop Jha himself drives a private car in the night to ensure proper implementation of his order about compulsory vehicle checking and night-vigilance.
