Some people ILLEGALLY Produce (Manufacture) liquor
    Some people ILLEGALLY SALE it
And Some people ILLEGALLY DEINK it
And when something goes wrong, they die

The state govt announce PACKAGE to be provided to the families of victims

Please note, the people who consumed and died in the whole event are also criminals as they consume alcoholic drink which is illegal in our Gujarat

I am a tax payer, and my money must not be used to PROMOTE such activities by giving charity to those who have died

Let them die, they deserve to die

    My question

Why someone should consume illicit alcolohic drink in our state?

And if they do so, they must be punished (god already punished them), and not be given charity from other honest people

My question to fellow readers, can we go to court to stop the compensation money being given to their family by state government to people who are involved in illegal activities?

    Please advise me

    Thanks

Good opportunity! Close down all the liquor shops which propped up by the Congress politicians during their illegal rule of 45 years.

It is a well known fact that all the liquor barons are patronized by the Congress party since the days of Chimanbhai Patel to win elections since the middle-class never goes to vote.

Also arrest all the Congress MLAs since they incite violence, and riots.
Congress comes to power by their policy of ‘daaru for votes’ on the day before voting.

The signature of this disaster shows the mark of Congress party all over the evidence.
Get rid of the Congress party to save innocent lives.

I HAVE NO SYMPATHY FOR THOSE PEOPLE WHO DRANK AND DIED, BUT I HAVE SYMPATHY FOR THEIR RELATIVES. THOSE WHO DIED ARE HAPPY, PROBLEM IS WITH WHO SURVIVED AND THEIR RELATIVES. THESE CONGI. LEADERS ARE ALSO BIG PROBLEM. IF THIS S. GOHIL WANTS 10 LACS. OF RUPPES GIVEN TO THEIR SURVIVERS, LET HIM GIVE FORM HIS POCKET, THESE CONGIS HAVE BILLIONS OF ILLEGAL RUPEES IN BANKS. NOW, THIS WILL BECOME POLITICAL GYMNASTICS. I AM FROM AHD. AND I HAVE SEEN “DARU NI HERAFERI” UNDER CONGI. LEADERSHIP. SO DO NOT BELIEVE ANY THING THIS S. GOHIL OR S. PATEL SAYS.. THEY ARE ALSO PROBLEMS OF SOCIETY.. YES, POLICE IS BAD COURREPT, YOU BREAK LAW. YOU PAY.. MAY BE WITH YOUR LIFE… NO OFFENSE TO ANY ONE, BUT SOCIETY NEEDS CHANGE. WE GUJARATIS ARE OUR BIG PROBLEMS.. WE TRY TO DIG WELL WHEN THERE IS FIRE… NO GOVT. CAN SOLVE PROBLEMS ALONE, PEOPLE HAVE TO COOPERATE TO SOLVE PROBLEMS……. WE ALL ARE SELFISH, HYPROCRATE PEOPLE…. NOW, LET US ALL BUILD MORE TEMPLES…

  4. Inquilab says:

I totally agree with “Proud Gujarati” and “KENT”
Why is the Congress party demanding relief package for an liqour illegal activities?
Why is the Congress party demanding compensation to the relatives of the terrorist?
Why is the Congress party demanding mercy for the Bofors payoff agent Quottarachi?
Why is the Congress party demanding pull out of troops from Kashmir?

  5. Proud Gujarati says:

Thanks dear Inquilab and Kent for sharing views similar to me
Request to all readers of this news and our posts,
please support us by your responses. We want -
(1)No package or compensation to family members of those who have died. It is FIRST RESPONSIBILITY of the family members to stop their beloved from consumig such illicit alcoholic drinks
And they have no right to demand any package from our govt – we are honest tax payers, our money is for development of our Gujarat and our india and not for supporting bootlagers
(2)Please carry out a MORCHA AGAINST all politicians who show sympathy for those who have died, because, they deserve and must die
(3)In the name of Gandhiji, why Gujarat is punished by not allowing to sale alcoholic drinks? The control must go, our Gujarat must become state where alcoholic drinks must be freely sold to people, REMOVE PROBIHTION, this is need of time – Those who want to consume, let them consume good quality liquor by making it freely available
(4)Question to all Congi people – GIVE NAME OF EVEN ONE CONGI POLITICIAN WHO DOES NOT DRINK ALCOHOLIC DRINKS? (In the whole India, not only Gujarat)
In the name of Gandhiji (not Indira Gandhi, I am talking about Mahatma Gandhi), do not make people fool
    Enough is enough

  6. If liquor was legal in Gujarat, this sort of undercover event would not happen. If people are allowed to drink, they can decide to drink little or plenty. This prevents all the criminal elements from making lots of money by brewing illicit spirit. Give people the chance to choose for themselves.

  7. Gujarati says:

    Proud Gujarati,

I can understand that you dont have any sympathy for the drinkers but at the same time state government is respossible for the heath and safety of the citizens and if anything poisonous is sold that must be stopped before it takes people’s lives. Government has definitely failed in doing so because of corrupted police’s involvement with bootleggers.

In my view, Gujarat should allow certain alchoholic drinks to be sold in state like wine, beer, breezer etc, which contain very less percentage of alocohol in it. At least, state’s food safety officials can keep check on the quality of the drinks if they are sold legally.

At the end of the day, It is people’s choice. It has been proved that prohibition has not served the purpose. People do drink in the state in spite of the prohibition. Legal and controlled sale of less alcoholic drinks can help the situation and that wil generat some tax revenue for the state as well.

  8. Amit Bhuva says:

Helen, you have a valid point but opening Gujarat to open liquor sale will see many more families in hardship as more people will consume liquor leaving little for rest of the family.
Government must also video those who cause damage to property to gain few voting points. These culprits must be made to pay totally for all the damage they cause.

  9. jayant parekh says:

Mr. amit BHUVA you have raise very right point, people who cause damage to property to gain few votes must be made to pay for all the damage, for e.g. damaged made by people of surat, people of ranip in asharam case, and many other case of india, i think you understood my point very clear….

  10. H Shah says:

A government should not make more laws than it can enforce – we either need more enforcement or fewer laws. Complete Liquor prohibition has been impracticle anywhere it was tried because it requires a lot of energy that the governments realize can be better spent elsewhere. Fewer laws seems to make sense here from practicle perspective.

For now, though, I agree with others on this board that the law-breakers do not deserve government support. While government is responsible for health and safety of people, it is only as long as people are not willingly breaking the law. If someone gets into an accident while driving over the speed limit, the driver is clearly responsible for consequences, not the government. People like the poster calling himself Gujarati do not understand the concept of rule of law.

  11. Proud Gujarati says:

In the name of Gandhiji, only gujarat is DRY state in whole country
WHY? Why people living in Gujarat are not allowed to drink liquor?
If it has something to do with Gandhiji and congress, please note, ALL congressmen without exception, all over country, in all states are drunkards, including those of Gujarat.
So, congressmen or congresswomen, nobody has right to talk about probihition and such incidents in Gujarat
And, go to city like Mumbai or delhi or any other place in india
People who want to drink, they always do, but people who do not want to drink, they never drink even if it is available freely next door
Yes, illegally sold drinks are available in Gujarat, but if people do not drink, then whom they sell it?
It is responsibility of people not to drink – forget availability – legal or not legal
So, in the whole episode, only people who consume such drink themselves are only responsible, and not people who sale it or police or state govt or Modiji
