Vadodara, DeshGujarat, 19 October, 2009
India-Australia one-day match will be played in Vadodara’s Reliance cricket stadium on October 25. All tickets of this match sold out just in two days after ticket selling started. This indicates that the 19000-seat stadium will be full to its capacity during the match.
According to sources, both the teams are scheduled to arrive in Vadodara on 23rd. The teams will do net practice on 24th.
October 25th will be a second match Australian cricket team will play in Vadodara. Earlier Australia had played one match on this stadium and won it against India in year 2007. India has won five out of eight one-day matches it played in Vadodara so far. The Reliance cricket ground is thus considered lucky for the Indian cricket team.
Sources told DeshGujarat that about 50 volunteers of Baroda Cricket Association(BCA) will be deployed in stadium to help the people. In each stand, two persons from BCA will remain present and their mobile numbers will be highlighted on screen. Total 40 video cameras will guard the activities in the stadium. Tickets are printed with special mark to avoid duplication.
