The Cricket team of India and Srilanka arrived in Ahmedabad on Sunday. But the centre of attraction was only one player – Sachin Tendulkar.
During net practice, Sachin met a Thalassemia patient child – Kushal Patel through Make-A-Wish Foundation, and played cricket with him. Sachin presented him a cap with his autograph. Kushal is std 7th student of HBK school in Ahmedabad.
There are about 1200 cops guarding the cricketers, their Hotel and the stadium. The match will start on 16th, so at present the hotel in which the cricketers are staying is centre of concern for security people.
Vadaj based Hotel St. Laurn is tightly secured and sanitized. Any vehicle is not permitted to enter into the hotel campus. Hotel’s basement parking has been closed. There is a three-layer security inside and outside the hotel. Black dressed commandos are stationed with Stan guns in hotel campus. Players are not allowed to leave the hotel without police permission.
