Gujarat Police announces toll free 1095 number service

In view of growing incidents of chain snatching in the city of Ahmedabad, the Gujarat police on Wednesday announced new telephone helpline service so that people can report such incidents as and when they happen.
The telephone helpline no. 1095 will be a toll free service and any person whether a victim or witness would be able to dial it to notify the police about crime incident quickly.
Police would be able to know about the incident and its location faster than before through this facility to initiate immediate road-side checking, area wise alert, staff mobilization to proper location and other actions.
