Modi, Keshubhai inaugurate Saurashtra Patel ladies hostel

Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi and ex-Chief Minister Keshubhai Patel today inaugurated Saurashtra Patel Kelavani Mandal’s newly built Rs 15 crore Shrimati Vijayaben Maganbhai Bhagat ladies hostel in Ahmedabad.
A 215-room ladies hostel has capacity to accommodate as many as 860 ladies.
Main donor Dhirubhai Bhagat who donated Rs 7.5 crore for this project was present at the occasion.

With due respect, I think we should move outside caste in life as well as politics. I don’t know whether this hostel is only for patels or open to all. If its only for Patels, things like these are bad – we are perpetuating the caste division of the hindus and anti-national congress is taking advantage of this.
Tathagata, I do not think this hostel is based on caste and restricted only to ‘Patels’….In Mumbai, there are very many good institutions by Kelavani Mandal open to all and sundry. At some institutions, there are reservations to Gujarati’s, being linguistic minority in Maharashtra.

Well i do not care if it for Patels or not. The point is at least new infrastructure is created, so that the strain of existing infrastructure is been reduced. The purpose is good housing so that the students can concentrate on Studies. As far as it is fulfilled why should be criticize.
