Bollywood actors Aamir Khan, Madhavan and Sharman Joshi today visited Ahmedabad today evening and interacted with the press at City Pulse theater on Ahmedabad-Gandhinagar road.

On his post ‘3 Idiots’ release visit to Gujarat, Aamir said, “Komalji insisted two years before that we would go to Ahmedabad at friend’s multiplex. I am keeping my promise by coming here today. Our visits do not make any difference to our film. This time we have come not for promotion but to thank the people of the country. In one week, we would go to various places to thank the people. We have worked hard, and therefore when people do enjoy, we too enjoy.”

When asked about his connection with Gujarat he said, “Gujarati people are very sweet. When I was in Narsi Monji, I joined a group as a back stage guy(carrying tea, making things ready etc). There was a nice song ‘Aavya Gheraiya Aavya’ in that drama, I thought I would do a role one day and would grab front stage. One day an artist said he would not be able to make it to the show just four days before the drama. Thus I got hsi role. So, I actually acted for the first time in my life in a Gujarati play. And I was afraid that time because I couldn’t speak Gujarati.”

When asked about Narmada-Fanaa controversy in connection with Gujarat, Aamir said “I had love in my heart and that is same today for Gujarati audience.” Aamir praised Girl child education scenario in Gujarat.

In a related question when Aamir Khan was asked whether he would invite Narendra Modi to watch Three Idiots, Aamir replied, “I don’t know him, because I haven’t met him.”

Aamir praised Raju Hirani and Ahmedabad’s own Abhijat Joshi for their humbleness: “I think Abhijat is very fine and talented person. Before this he wrote Lage Raho Munnabhai. I am fortunate that I had chance to work with both Raju and Abhijat. They both are amazing persons who are so humble that 90% people would not recognize them if they are in public.”
