“It is not important how you start the thing. The important thing is that, where are you heading towards,” said C.K.Prahlad addressing a large gathering at IIM Ahmedabad’s Louis Kahn Plaza in a function organized by the Ahmedabad Management Association.

“I am a bad coin who comes back again and again here in Ahmedabad,” Prahalad started his speech with lighter note.

Motivating the entrepreneurs, Prahalad said “In today’s world, resources are irrelevant, what you need to be an entrepreneur is imagination and aspiration.Today a small company can disrupt the world trade. Out IT and Pharma industries have proved this. If you want to break a tall wall, you don’t need to hit your head with the wall. You just need to find out a loose brick and start the work there. In any city, an amount of small industry excites me, because it is today’s small company that would become tomorrow’s giant company. Bangalore has 3,000 small companies, and it makes the city exiting.”

“In present situation, India can not but succeed. India will have to work hard to loose. India has changed the companies like Phizer and IBM. There will be more Indians working in IBM in India rather than in the U.S. When people in U.S. say they export their jobs to India, I tell them they are actually importing competitiveness,” he added.

“The next big challenges for the nation are: completion and management of ambitious UID project, health-care facility for every citizen, setting up and success of e-governance for more transparent and efficient government system, creating 300 new cities to accommodate rapid growth of urbanization, and skill based training to 500 million youths,” Prahalad said in the end of his lecture.
