Rs 74.39 crore Bhadra fort revamp project approved

Central Government’s Urban Development Ministry’s arm the Sanctioning & Monitoring Committee approved Rs 74.39 crore grant under JnNURM scheme for restoration work of Ahmedabad’s historical Bhadra fort on Friday.
The Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation(AMC) team presented detail project report to senior officials in Delhi on Friday after which the project was approved.
The AMC will sign MOU with the Archaeological survey of India(ASI) for restoration work of Bhadra fort. The fort is protected monument under ASI norms.The ASI and AMC will together plan Rs 38.45 crore restoration and development work of Bhadra fort area.
