Sabarmati Riverfront – Watch out the sample stretch(Photos)

Sabarmati Riverfront project’s first sample stretch will be ready soon by the end of next month near Subash bridge, exactly on the other side of River Sabarmati on the backside of Gandhi Ashram. The AMC intends to make the riverfront accessible by year-end of 2010. The stretch will be opened for getting feedback of experts as well as common people. Based on feedback received and errors identified, the AMC will proceed the works in further stretch.
Major highlights of sample stretch are:
-Tress pits are created at every six meters
-Ramps for physically challenged visitors
-Wide walking area
-Several options for the railings and trees are exhibited
-Beautiful lamp posts
