There is nothing in this video that I can not digest(only half minded & person blassed with reservation benefits can not digest). This is what happens when you have reservation based admission process. At one instance in this video, this illiterate speaker claims that we have merit based admission process which is half true ( 50 % seats falls under reservation category ).
So, when he says overall result of the state technical institute is around 37%, it is actually 37×2=74%.

I am thankful to those institutes for working as a speed braker for these unqualified engineering students. Give them some more time to figure out whether they belong in engineering institute or not.

reservation based admission process & almost free education, who would not want to become an engineer or doctor??

New roads lasts for less than 1-year, bridges falls before it is commissioined to use for public, all these become day to day affair when you have reservation system.

  2. DHARMESH.K.PATEL...usa says:

WHAT JOKER SHAKTI-GOHIL. YOU GIVEING ADVISE TO MODIJI THAT
HE SHOULD GO TO VILLAGES AND SPENT NIGHTS……INSTED OF FLYING
BY CHOPPER. IN PAST DID CONGRESSI..CM WERE USING GODHA-GADI
TO GO TO VILLEGES. REQUEST TO DESH-GUJART WHY ARE YOU WASTING
TIME AND INTERNET SLOT FOR THIS BASTARDS

  3. Jigar says:

Anyone who has studied in an engineering college would know that the result of the first semester is like that owing to several reasons.

    A. First semester starts late due to admission process.

    B. Bulk of the students are studying through English for the first time.

    C. most of them are in a habit of cramming and not exploring.

    D. The gulf between high school and college studies.

It is no surprise that the first semester result is so low, it has always been.

Anyways, our colleges make monkeys out of normal youth. Perhaps the first semester results show the resistance of theirs. After that they get used to studying for 1 month and getting clearing exams.

Politically motivated, ill-informed speech. Lacked the basic understanding of higher education. That is across the board by the way amongst the law-makers.

  4. India says:

An eye opener from Gujarat Congress after a long time. good to see that..!

  5. Dev Vyas says:

Superb.. Its rare to see such a nice opposition job by congress leader in Gujarat. However you can notice the attendence of our representaives in the assembly…

  6. Haha,

Shaktisinh is preaching Modi on appointment of trusted people.

    Haha

Shaktisinh you should ask Sonia why she appointed a Christian volunteer of Mother Teresa Navin Chawla as Election Commission head right before the election

Shaktisinh you should ask Sonia why she appointed Pratibha devi sinh patil even after tonnes of corruption charges on President post.

What you Congress people did when in power? You appointed K.S.Shastri, a know Congressi as VC and Pro VC in your regime.

You should be ashamed when raising such points. Stop playing dirty politics in assembly house.

  7. Anuj Kothari says:

Right said Dharmesh, these Congressis are worst. It is because of their sins that went on for about fifty years, we are in this condition. If Modi’s rule is top part of the tree, the Congress rule earlier is root of the problem.

  8. Saurab Patel (usa) says:

this situation is because of reservation in education. Due to this lower %age student from lower caste get admission and they cannot even reach the passing marks line so this situation is generated. i am live example of this in year 1997 i did not get admission in diploma engineering due to reserve quota.
THANKS TO CONGRESS and THANKS TO VOTE BANK OF CONGRESS

    can u reply me
    thanks

  10. paramsneh says:

Donno weather its true or false, but if it is true, Govt should be worried abt it and making some inquiry about it… He is just doing his job as an opposition leader..

There could be many reason for it, many of ma frnds hv mentioned them above, but if we wud hv made some attempt to solve the issue, it wud hv been much appreciated.

Have mentor for new students, senior students can be their mentors to facilitate their transition. Many of you find it vague but I think it makes sense to me.

  11. Ashish Patel says:

I am BJP’s fan, but I am totally agree with Shaktisinh. Education must not be commercialized, otherwisse the the poor family’s students will not get admissions to good colleges.

  12. rudra says:

IF SHAKTISINH EXPECTING GOOD BEHAVIOR FORM RULLING PARTY IN VIDHANSABHA,HE MUST LOOK CONGRESS RULED STATES BEFORE.

    Dear All,

    Good Day!!

Few Eye Cather Points for all,

Please Inform the Opposition Leader that

    1. University Name is “Gujarat Technological University” and not the Technical university, please visit http://gtu.ac.in for more details

    2. First Semester result is less is because, seat increased and all the 12th Science Students got the admission, not only the brighter one.
    Because, 1,, Seat Increased
    2,, 50 % Reservation
3,, Majority Students are from Gujarati Medium where the course for Engineering is in English Medium, so this phenomena is common in all the states, since years, where the language of English is not the mother tongue.
4,, If you want to compare the result, compare it with the merit list, like what is the percentage of students pass from Merit No. 1 to 1000, 1001 to2000, and each batch of 1000 students.

3.Appointment of Faculty and Norms are always mandatory for the Technical Institutes as per AICTE and there is no alterations allowed by any University / Institute in India.

    4. It is mandatory for the all the technical Institute to

1,, Build Proper Infrastructure as per AICTE Guidelines and requirements
2,, Recruit Director and other faculty as per AICTE Guidelines and minimum requirements
3,, Approval and Extension is always first approved by AICTE
4,, University only give affiliation, if Institute get the approval from AICTE, no University can affiliation without AICTE approval
5,, For more details Leader can vist http://www.aicte-india.org and http://www.aicte.ernet.in

    5. It is mandatory requirement for all the technical Insitute to
1,, Disclose Faculty Details on institutes website
2,, Disclose Result / Placement Records and Scholarship Details on institutes’ website

University only controls the Course Curriculum and Examination Mechanism, where the Course Curriculum is also based on the model curriculum provided from AICTE.

Admission is also done as per the independent Joint Admission Committee for Professional Courses where fee is decided by Jt. R J Shah Committee.

You can ask any Educationalists in Gujarat, what are the Benefits they have received after GTU establishment, you will get

1,, All Online Circulars, in time, well in advance.
2,, Exam Time Table and Term Calender well in advance so Institute and Students can plan the study
3,, All the results and analysis online, so everything is transparent.

I thank and Congratulate GTU Team for all there excellent work.

    Regards
    SGANGWANI
    Asst. Professor in MBA Institute.

  15. KENT says:

Mr. Gangwani, Very good reprt.. I liked it..
I am not teacher or proffesor. but I would only add one thing that the courrption in education will ruin three generations…. a person got admission on whatever quata and not bright enough to study…. What kind of education he or she will get? Out system is courrept and can not blame anyone but us….I think fundamental changes are needed and quata system must be dropped….
no offense to anyone about my comment…. We do not have will to change…. still india progresses because GOD is there…. only GOD runs india …… GOOD LUCK….
i request to MR. N.MODIJI that please look in our GUJARATs education system and you will find million problems….. still I admire MR. MODIJI on his achievements….
It it not easy to change our system….Courrption is in our blood….

  16. vimal says:

    All Politics!

  17. Amit Patel says:

Healthy Democracy in our Gujarat. Now, no one can stop Gujarat. Thanks to Mr. Modi and Mr. Gohil.
We had great opposition while BJP was in opposition. Since BJP came into power, Gujarat was waiting for good opposition. Now it seems like opposition is doing well and it will force Modi government to work even better. Who will be benifited? Of cource, We Gujarati.

    Truth Alone Triumphs.

  18. MBA Faculty says:

    Sr. No. Factor Explanation
01 Input Quality Almost 60 to 70 percent variations in the sample data can be explained by variation in input quality.
    Student quality Backlogs in percent
    Top 15 Students 11.43%
    16 to 30 23.81%
    31 to 45 33.33%
    45 to 56 27.27%

02 Some unknown factor/s Analysis in the preceding section draws many surprising conclusions. It has been observed that the results of 47 percent of total no. of colleges can’t be explained, they are surprising, shocking and abnormal. Following are some possible reasons.
    • Improper shuffling of answer sheets by GTU & variations in assessment methods by different faculties.
    • Good faculties make students feel more secure hence at times students become overconfident/careless and vice versa for poor faculties.
    • Exam center effect.
    • Tuition
    • & teaching in non-English language improves result.
03 Male-Female Ratio This is a major yet not a dominant factor because of less no of girl students in all institutes. Institutes having more girl students tend to secure marginally higher average results irrespective of input quality and other qualitative factors.
    [Conversely, boys secure better placement]
    Gender Backlogs in percent
    Male 28.57%
    Female 5.95%

04 Geographical distribution of students It has been observed [from the available student set only] that the students from North Gujarat and central Gujarat have secured higher result compared to students from Ahmedabad/Gandhinagar region.
[However, it has been observed from the past experience that students from Ahmedabad secure better placement]
05 Commuting students Students commuting from distance locations have a propensity to secure lower result compared to students staying in hostel/private accommodation.
    06
Non-significant factors Attendance, Category of student/ type of admission Analysis revels that there is no significant correlation between the factors mentioned in the preceding column and result.
[This conclusion is drawn on the basis of a relatively smaller sample. However a larger sample may reveal some meaningful conclusion]
