Gujarat to get five Passport Seva Kendra

Gujarat will get five Passport Seva Kendra(PSK) within 18 months according to release by central ministry of Foreign affairs.
The proposed Passport Seva Kendras will come up in Ahmedabad(at two places), Rajkot, Vadodara and Rajkot. While Ahmedabad, Rajkot and Vadodara PSKs would work under Ahmedabad based regional passport office, the Surat PSK would work under Surat based passport office.
The government of India has launched the first PSK of India in Bangalore. Passport Seva Kendra is a concept under which all front office work related to passport would be carried out b outsources staff. The actual work of issuing passport would be done by the present passport office staff only. PSK would be connected with DSP office and regional passport office. The project would be implemented jointly with private sector company of Tata group.
