Barcamp – Ahmedabad chapter is holding its 3rd un-conference on 4th April 2010 at EDI, Gandhinagar, Gujarat. Event is organized by handful of First Year entrepreneurship students, Hemant, Kush, Nitesh & Amitosh. Hemant Mehta, who is also a Tata Jagriti Yatri- an annual journey throughout the nation to promote entrepreneurship, is coordinating this event to provide an opportune platform to those who wants to share and learn about any idea or belief under the sun. BarCamp is an internationally acclaimed concept of networking which has been serving aforesaid purpose.
An entirely innovative concept of networking where there is neither a speaker nor a chief guest and where participants themselves are the actors of the event. The barcampers need to register (free of charge) themselves on the website with the topic or idea they like to share. Entire event revolves around these topics.Participants are encouraged to facilitate the sessions by making them share their experiences both live and, after the event, via web or other channels. The informal manner in which such discussions unfold captures the pure spirit of “un-conference”.
Barcamp has been providing a platform for business houses, venture capitalists, working professionals, budding entrepreneurs & students to publicize their ideas and connect at grass root level. This time more than 250 participants from diverse backgrounds are expected to gather here on Sunday. Event will touch upon several topics like Starting an enterprise, E-marketing, Green technology, Waste Management, MarketMedia & Law, Youth in politics, etc.The Barcamp is surely catching the eye of the entrepreneurs and this time it happens to be at the prestigious Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India, Ahmedabad.
