A video from Etv Gujarati channel’s bulletin
Rajkot’s Bhilvas is notorious area known for illegal slaughter of animals including slaughter of bovine which is banned. On Friday when Municipal officials went to check irregularities, a group of Muslim butchers and their supporters surrounded the officials. However brave officers led by officer Rathod seized the animals meant for illigal slaughter. The Muslim butchers and supporters stopped government vehicle carrying seized animals by sleeping on the way. They shouted objectionable words. Finally the police was called. Police rescued municipal officials.
After hearing this the Municipal Commissioner Dinesh Brahmbhatt rushed to the place, but a group of Muslims prevented him to enter the area for two hours. However the Municipal Commissioner was firm to take a round for checking inside the slaughter houses and went there amidst extreme heat. Meanwhile the butchers released the bovine lot from back side.
According to Commissioner Brahmbhatt, the permission has been given to slaughter houses only to slaughter animals certified by a veterinary doctor, this norm was being violated at Bhilvas slaughter house.
The video above, gives little bit glimpse of how Muslim men and women behaved when officials were in their locality for checking, but be sure, the real scenes were more intense than this.
