Gujarat BJP Mahila Morcha members are sending thousands of rakhis to jailed former state minister Amit Shah on the occasion of Rakshabandhan.
Shah is lodged in Ahmedabad’s Sabarmati jail where some of the rakhis posted for him have already reached.
Mahila Morcha president Jayshree Patel said, “Our members will send rakhi to Shah for his good health, his well-being and security.”
Shah was arrested by CBI on July 25 in connection with the gangster Sohrabuddin Sheikh encounter case. Shah completed four weeks in jail on Sunday.
