Gujarat is booming because of one leader:Suniel Shetty
Toronto, 25 August, 2010

Bollywood star Suniel Shetty showered praise for Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi without naming him for making Gujarat the fastest developing state in India.
Sunil praised Modi during his interaction with media persons on the sideline of shooting of Annes Bazmee’s film ‘Thank You’ in Canada.
According to a report, when someone from Gujarat asked Suniel Sheety in a press conference whether Bollywood was also eying a booming Gujarat, Shetty said: ‘Hollywood cannot leave LA (Los Angeles). So as Bollywood will never move out of Mumbai. The only problem is that we are bursting at the seams… but it is a city of opportunity…it will always remain that way. However, Gujarat is booming because of one leader, one decision. And the decision that is taken is very quick.’
‘I myself am looking to do something in Gujarat. I have India’s only professional water sports running in Mumbai. Yeah, I want to do something in Gujarat, but that doesn’t mean Mumbai is in trouble,’ he added.

If this guy can see this, Why all GUJARAT CONGRESS LEADERS DO NOT SEE THIS? Or they do not want to see this… Unless GODMOTHER SONIA SEES THIS…. HA HA HA ….. THESE congress leaders are blind or they are told not to see anything good or progressive…. because central GOVT. does not see this progress….. THESE CONGRESS LEADERS ARE LIKE MONKEY SEES, MONKEY DOES type people….. JAY SHREE KRISHNA…
dg please spread this Bangalore: Hari Prasad, the Managing Director of Netindia an Indian research and development firm, on his refusal to disclose an anonymous source who provided an electronic voting machine to a team of security researchers was arrested. He and other researchers have long questioned the security of India’s paperless electronic voting machines. Despite repeated reports of election irregularities and concerns about fraud, the Election Commission of India insists that the machines are tamper-proof.
As per the reports Prasad was questioned Saturday morning at his home in Hyderabad by authorities who wanted to know the identity of the source who gave the voting machine to the research team. Prasad was ultimately arrested and taken to Mumbai, though reportedly hadn’t been charged with a crime.
In 2009, the commission publicly challenged Prasad to show that India’s voting machines could be compromised, but refused to give him access to the machines to perform a review. Earlier this year, an anonymous source provided an Indian voting machine to a research team led by Prasad, The team exposed security flaws that could allow an attacker to change election results and compromise ballot secrecy. They published a paper detailing their findings.
The Election Commission of India should have given researchers access to the voting machines in the first place. Prasad is a respected researcher who helped to discover a critical flaw in India’s voting system. He and his fellow researchers would never have been able to document the weaknesses in India’s voting machines without the help of their anonymous source. This is precisely why anonymity is important: it allows people to make important contributions to the public dialogue without fear of retribution.
why is elmedia hiding this..oh i forgot elmedia is not media but mafia controlled by congress and show only false negatives about gujarat and false positives about congress…
this is from a neutral agency..and dg shuld headline this to spread this..elmedia is busy showing rahul’s drama as usuaal without any concrete action just like last 60 yeras by congress
GANDHINAGAR: A latest World Bank (WB) study says exemplary reforms in Gujarat’s highway sector should be replicated by Indian states to establish an “enabling framework” for creating “efficient governance”.
Titled “Good Governance in Highway Sector: Learning from Gujarat”, the 60-page, yet-to-be-published report is based on the implementation of the World Bank-funded Gujarat State Highway Project (GSHP) during the 2001-07 period. The project was implemented by the state roads and buildings ((R&B) department.
Identifying private sector involvement as a crucial factor in shaping the reforms, the bank points out how the R&B department, under principal secretary SS Rathore, a technocrat, switched “from the role of provider to manager of road infrastructure”.
This enabled the department to embrace a whole-of-network approach to planning and management of road network development and maintenance, and to take a more integrated approach in the budgeting and funding process, the study says.
As a result, GSHP “was implemented with a significant cost reduction (about 23%)”, even as improving “the network to meet the rapidly growing transport demand in the state”.
The bank stresses that: “The GSHP had the unique distinction of no contract disputes, a rarity among highway development projects in India”, even as it set best practices in “developing and managing a very comprehensive asset management system, state-of-the-art quality assurance framework and a very comprehensive training and capacity building programme”.
Noting that the current planned road network size in Gujarat of 74,111 km is among the highest in terms of network density per sq km in India, the report says, it is also “among the best managed networks”.
Investment in new roads in Gujarat increased six times compared to the pre-reforms times, with the state paying more attention to maintenance “than any other state”. It spent $884, 15% more than the second highest spending state, Kerala. As a result, the maintenance backlog has been reduced from 10,000 km to 5,000 km, including the 1,800 km reduction spurred by the GSHP.
“Gujarat is one of the first states to develop a strategic or core road network by applying the 80/20 rule, i.e. 80% of the traffic is carried by 20% of the road network,” says the report. First formulated during the GSHP, the concept was used during the development later, the bank says. However, it adds that the concept may go a long way in implementing the chief minister’s “vision” of travelling by road in the state between any two locations within six to seven hours at 80 km per hour.

english language media is not evil. it is genuinely stupid. we must convince the masses of india who don’t speak english of how Modi can change India. keyword is WE. if we sit on our asses, do jobs and just post things online, nothing in india will change.
MY FRIENDS THANKS FORYOUR COMMENTS, MAY I HUMBLY REQUEST YOU WHY IN INDIAS BEST STATE, WITH MODIJI HEADING IT & IN 8YRS HOW MUCH IT HAS PROGRESSED, WHY SOME GUJARATIS STILL VOTING FOR CONGRESS,CAN YOU TELL ME? We all can agree to disagree… This is democracy…. I think the trouble with we INDIANS is we are passive people… Mr. REVOLUTIONARY said it correctly that WE have to become active and solve the situation… I do my part….
PEOPLE talk about MR. VALLABHBHAI PATEL, MR. LAL BAHADUR SHASTRI, MR. NARENDRA MODI…. I TELL PEOPLE WHY NOT YOU BECOME ONE OF THEM AND ACT… THEY ACTED…. THREE generations grew up in INDIA with corruption and that has become part of life…. ENGLISH MEDIA IS CORRUPT AND PURCHASED…. SO CALLED SMART MASS OF INDIA IS ALSO ANTI-INDIA sentiments…. THERE IS NO EASY SOLUTION….
I do not care what this bapty says, I am proud of Mr. modiji….
We argue more and solve less…..
Hi revolutionary,
I think we need to take it upon ourselves. I am from Delhi. I have already started educating people i know (relatives, friends, my maid servants, my driver, presswali, Kirana store guy who can vote ) about Narendra Modi. I took Narendra Modi list of achievements from wikepedia. I think i have enlightened about close to 300 people (who can vote) . everyone was shocked to see this face of Modi.
As a benchmark If 1000 people can enlighten 1000 people about Modi – BJP you see 10 lakh people will know about modi. So guys on this forum please talk to people around you about Modi. We can make this a campaign. I have started following it.
I always start the conversation from Congress corruption which gets people going and then i start talking about Narendra Modi. Folks who do not want to be seen as Pro Modi can say that they have heard from somewhere about Modi achievements and can feign ignorance. This way they can can seem unbiased.
Please note no christian, Muslim is going to support BJP- Modi ever. So no point wasting talking to them.
superb comment vishy …i liked your last line……this is afact because minorities have communal avesrion to bjp..not only modi…see kearala has no bjp prsence when nda was ruling and before for years and even now..
.if all of us can do that……we can also send emails to peole we dont know like busineses do….media is not doing its job because it is congress bought mafia…see how they do not reprt progress in gujarat…and only show negatives which are also false allegations and leaks from another mafia called cbi all in the smae congress gang…
and see how they r promoting rahul’s empty talk and rallies ..even after his family has failed for 60 years..
and hiding real progress in gujarat..shame on this ccorrupt media….and see how they pretend and talk big on tv….and hide their congress links…liek ndtv ibn…..etc etc
rev….elmedia is corrupt and has links to congress and gets favors….like adverts bribes..etc….congress is expert in buying from its loot …media is also funded by minorities who ahve money wordwide…
point is stupid or not..they have hiddnen corrupt motives and pre palnned agenda against bjp…for last many decades
not only now…..to all those who ronly realizing it now ..u can read their coverage in the 80s,90s…
prannoy roy and ht etc are all congress patronized…roy got his break with dd because of loyalty to rajiv g..
in 1980′s he was working in govt..like bhaskar ghose dd chief who also favored him…
how many know who is bhaskar….he is father in law of rajdeep…sagrika’s dad…..
and roy returned the favor by making rajdeep anchor…and ll know ndtv is a congress agent and campaigns for congress….and against bjp….
these r frauds stuprid or not……media is supposed to be watchdog of govt in power….
only in india they r barking dog against oppoistion…hence mafia…
Mr. Shetty please tell this to rest of the INDIA and English media and educate them the results of good decision in election that can change everyones life.
