-Rescue operation ended in Ahmedabad at the site of building collapsed. One more dead body was pulled out of the rubble. Total death toll is five thus. 19 are injured and hospitalized including the Fire brigade jawan. Locals rushed to local Congress MLA Farukh Sheikh’s office in protest. Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation Commissioner says a survey will be held to check the illegal constructions and actions will be taken including action against responsible AMC officials. AMC today employed seven teams at seven different places in Muslim dominated central zone. AMC has declared that tomorrow there will be 10 teams for demolition task. Meanwhile the role of gangster Mehboob Senior is coming out of this chapter. Senior’s brother Habib in TV interview said that Senior has replaced Latif and he is involved in every illegal or legal construction.Related post
-National level Yoga competition is held in north Gujarat’s Ambaji. As many as 22 teams and 876 participants, who represent Andhra Pradesh, Chandigarh, Delhi, Chattisgarh, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Gujarat, Jambu and Kashmir, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Orissa, Punjab, Tamilnadu, Tripura, Tripura, Uttaranchal, West Bengal, Indian Public School Rajasthan, Navodaya Vidhyalaya (Durgapur Kolkata) Vidhya Bharati Sangathan (Raipur) are taking part in the 56th edition of National Yogasan competition which was launched at Ambaji on Friday. The competitions are being held in different age groups- Under 19, Under 17 and Under 14.They would not only present their prowess in yogic skills but also showcase the culture of the State.
-National level body building competition is held at Vadodara. As many as 100 body builders from 30 states are participating in the event. The winner will receive ‘Mr. India’ title.
-It seems that the Pakistan Marine Security Agency is now doing a job similar to ‘sea pirates’. Aren’t they paid by Pakistan? Or has Pakistan started a new ‘pirate and looters wing’ within PMSA? 37 Gujarat fishermen looted in sea by PMSA returned back to Okha port yesterday. Narrating their horrible experience, they said they were looted by PMSA on gun point in mid sea. The looted items include a mobile phone, fish finder machine, wireless sets and other objects. Then there’s a question: what our Coast Guards are doing in sea? In last 15 days Pakistan has kidnapped several Gujarat fishing boats.
-Gandhinagar is witnessing spread of jaundice with about 52 cases registered this week. Local administration had ordered restrictions on road side food stalls.
