-A live bomb was found at Gujarat University hostel’s block D today afternoon. Students were shocked and panicked. Police, bomb disposal squad reached. The bomb could spread bicycle bearing balls to five to seven meters. It was a crude bomb. There was cracker material in plastic ball. Initially it seems this is somebody’s trick to create panic because it is made with crackers powder and ball bearings with plastic ball.

-Cricketer Irfan Pathan is injured while playing in Hajare trophy match. He was taken out of the ground after he got injury in muscle of leg.

-Mangrol’s one-day strike call against transfer of local Swaminarayan Mandir Kothari was canceled after successful talk between protesters and Mandir board.

-Swastik school’s Principal Raja Pathak’s anticipatory bail approved with some conditions. Pathak had applied for bail in Sessions court.

-Kalupur building collapse case: Bata brothers sent to Judicial Custody.

-Fire breaks out in petrol pump at Surat’s Sayan sugar factory. This happened when petrol was unloaded from tanker here. Five fire fighting vehicles reached to control the fire.

-A person Mr. Solanki who filed petition against Gujarat High Court doubting secularism for ground breaking ceremony in one of its functions was fined Rs. 20,000 by HC, and his plea has been rejected.

-Dariapur’s Suspended Police Inspector Jani’s anticipatory bail plea rejected. Jani is charged to release a bootlegger by taking bribe.
