Strike on C.G.Road against sealing extends for three more days

Protesting Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation’s freshly resumed sealing drive, the shop keepers and office owners of C.G. road observed one-day strike today.
C.G.Road businessmen held a meeting at around noon and decided to put their side before the Governor of Gujarat. They also decided to extend their strike for three more days.
It should be mentioned here that the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation’s estate department had carried out Sealing drive in 156 premises of eight buildings of C.G.road between Stadium circle and Swastik cross road on Monday for breach of purpose of use. Some of the buildings covered under today’s’ drive are Karishma complex, Asarpota complex and Kamal complex. Monday’s sealing process targeted shops and offices on the first floor.
Protesting this fresh sealing drive, the C.G.Road businessmen association had announced strike on Tuesday which evoked total response.
