Andrews town, South Carolina, America, 27 December 2011
Gujarati NRI woman Sudha Patel is applying to be the town administrator in Andrews, South Carolina. The town is currently being run by an interim administrator.
Patel had recently contested for the post of town Mayor, but she did not win, and incumbent Mayor Rodney Giles defeated her in a runoff election.
Patel wants to see the town grow and believes the town needs a master plan to plot out the future.
“Seeing the responsibility it takes for the position, I was going to take on the same responsibilities as town mayor,” she said. “It doesn’t matter who is the town mayor or the town administrator as long as the same goals are accomplished.”
