Gujarat govt forms two committees for speedy implementation of Ahmedabad-Gandhinagar Metro rail project

Gujarat government has formed two high-level monitoring committees for speedy implementation of Ahmedabad-Gandhinagar metro rail project. Formation of committees will help for effective and smooth coordination between various related departments and agencies like Urban development department, Revenue ministry, Finance ministry and Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation among others.
State Chief Secretary Shri AK Joti will be heading a Monitoring Committee. Additional chief secretary of Finance and Transport department, Principal secretaries of Urban development, Industry and Mining, Revenue and Roads and Building departments, Gujarat Infrastructure Development Board’s Chief officer, Ahmedabad’s Municipal Commissioner, Chief of Mega company limited, Gujarat Urban Development Company’s administrative officer are the members of the monitoring committee headed by the Chief Secretary of Gujarat.
State Revenue minister smt Anandiben Patel will head a committee for guidance and policy related issues. Urban development minister Shri Nitin Patel, minister of state for Industries Shri Saurabh Dalal, Chief Secretary,Finance department’s Additional Chief Secretary, and Principal Secretaries of Industry and Mining department, Urban development department and Revenue department are members of this committee.
GUDC will work as technical cell for these committees for all metro rail projects in future in the state. Gandhinagar-Ahmedabad Mega Company Limited will be responsible for implementation of Ahmedabad-Gandhinagar Metro Rail Project
