Narendra Modi congratulates tribal community for higher sex ratio

Gujarat Chief Minister Shri Narendra Modi today admired tribal community of Gujarat for staying away from sin of killing girl child in womb. Modi congratulated the tribal community for having more number of girls compare to boys.
Speaking at Aadivasi Bhil Samaj’s 14th mass wedding function in Amdavad, Shri Modi said, “tribal community has stayed away from sin of killing girl child in womb and the community has more number of girls compare to boys. The community deserves congratulation for this.”
“Entire tribal belt of Gujarat, from Umargam to Ambaji was lacking of any 12th science school. Previous governments were loud on demanding reservation for tribal people, but without science stream how come the tribal could take benefit of reservation in medical and engineering colleges? It is this government that has started schools for higher education in science stream in each tribal taluka. In last ten years, tribal youths have gone abroad for education,” Shri Modi said.
He added that during Khel mahakumbh, maximum winners were tribal youths.
“We started training facility for tribal youths who want to join the army, thanks to which today armed forces attract 37% tribal from the state instead of earlier 7%,” Shri Modi added.
