Shri Morari Bapu will inaugurate ‘Zaverchand Meghani Center’ (Chair) at Saurashtra University on Monday, 12th of March, 2012 in Rajkot. The inaugural function has been organized at Hemu Gadhvi auditorium.

Professor Dr. Ambadan Rohadia has been appointed Director of this soon-to-be opened Meghani Lok Sahitya Kendra. The University Vice Chancellor will be the Chairman of Meghani Kendra.

The new kendra will give monitory aid to important research,, translation and compilation works in the area of folk literature under this kendra. More over, conferences, lectures and workshops will also be organized under this kendra.

Meghani Lok Sahitya Kendra will publish Lok Gurjari magazine twice a year. At present this magazine is published only once a year. Ever year Zaverchand Meghani Lok Sahitya Award will be presented to suitable personality for contribution to folk literature.
