Nadiad, 15 March, 2012
Team Anna member and India’s first woman IPS Kirsn Bedi was in Nadiad today to attend a school function.
Bedi while addressing the student said, “we are happy about Gujarat’s development. I travel in various states, it’s good that roads are good here. Roads are clean and well managed. God has given you more, you need to serve the nation.”
Bedi said that Gujarat showed development, Gujarat showed progress but the state has not an independent Lokayukta.
Bedi urged the students to demand an independent Lokayukta in Gujarat, like that in Uttarakhand before the Chief Minister prior to next election here. Kiran Bedi pointed out that Lokayukta should be appointed through independent search committee on Uttarakhand model.
