Narendra Modi launches 8th Krushi Mahotsav at Manavadar

Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi today launched the 8th edition of Krushi Mahotsav in Gujarat at Manavadar town of Junagadh district.
One month long Krushi Mahotsav will have 224 Kisan raths moving in all taluka panchayat seat areas of the state with a team of 90000 agriculture scientists. The Chief Minister dedicated veterinary college complex, indoor sports complex and milk cold storage at Junagadh agriculture university campus.
The Chief Minister said that the central government is not permitting Sardar Sarovar Narmada dam’s gates for last five years. Modi said the state faced dark zone problem due to deepening ground water level, but it is this government that started a movement of water conservation through which the ground water level was raised from 3 to 13 meter. This resulted into a decision to lift agri power connection ban in dark zone areas.
