Narendra Modi’s wax statue, tallest charkha, rickshaw and chhakda ride at AIANA’s third Chaalo Gujarat World Gujarati Conference this August


Vishwa Gujaati Samaj’s Krushnakant Vakharia, former IAS Harsh Brahmbhatt, Rajya Sabha MP and leading Gujarati personality Parimal Nathwani, Gujarati community leader in America Sunil Nayak, lawyer Devang Nanavati, Gujarati announcer Harish Bhimani at an event in Ahmedabad where third Chaalo Gujarat conference was announced today.

Wax statues of Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and Mahatma Gandhi, Amdavadi rickshaws, Saurashtra’s Chhakda, the tallest charkha of the world will be part of the World Gujarati conference organized by Association of Indian Americans in North America(AIANA) during Labor Day Weekend, which falls on August 31 to September 2, at the Raritan Expo Center in NJ. This will be third Chaalo Gujarat World Gujarati Conference organized by AIANA in America. Gujarat Gujarati Gujaratism is theme of the conference.

Speaking about the conference, Gujarati community leader from America, Shri Sunil Nayak said, “It’s an attempt to present Gujarat in modern form. Gujarat can’t be covered in one or two events. Therefore in every event, we add something new. There’s amazing response so far and as many as 45,000 Gujaratis are going to participate in the event. Chief Minister Narendra Modi will address the event through video conferencing.”

Nayak said wax statues of Gandhi, Patel, Modi will be like the statues in world famous Madame Tussauds museum.

Highlights of the event over the three day extravaganza include: Celebrity Performance, Spiritual Discourses, cultural Shows, Trade Show, International Property Show, Seminars & Conferences, Poetry & Literature, Youth Events, Knowledge Exchange and Business Meets. Some major attractions include; Kaleidoscope, Virtual tour to Gujarat, Wax Statues of Legends, Multimedia Shows, Innovative Galleries, Laser Show and for the first time ever Miss. Gujarat USA 2012. A unique invitation card which will highlight the concept of the famous Kabirvad and the name of the invitee inscribed on it.

The main gate will have a 12 feet high replica of the famous Rudramala Gate of Patan.

One of the highlights of the event will be a three-dimensional film on Gujarat in Gujarati and will be screened for the first time on a giant screen. Besides that multimedia show, seminars on different subjects, a pageant for Gujarati girls, the usual Gujarati Dayro, musical entertainment and not to forget the mouth-watering Gujarati cuisine will be served.
