The project involves estimated cost of Rs 1,77,03,221. The Surat District Panchayat will contribute Rs 1 crore from its own fund for this cause, while other amount will be contributed by public.
Meanwhile Surat Jilla Hitrakshak Samiti has announced that it would submit a memorandum demanding separate Sardar district consisting Bardoli, Mahuva, Mandvi, Mangrol, Umarpada, Kamrej and Palsana talukas with Bardoli as headquarter before the Chief Minister during later’s Kamrej visit. Present headquarter of Surat district is far away from these seven talukas, and therefore they should be separated from Surat district with Bardoli as new headquarter, Hitrakshan Samiti said.
