Shahid Siddhiqui row: Anti-Gujarat gang exposed again, says Gujarat government (Video)

Ahmedabad, 28 July 2012

Reacting to Shahid Siddiqui’s removal from Samajwadi Party on Narendra Modi’s interview issue, Gujarat government spokesperson Shri Jaynarayan Vyas said, “we consider it as an internal matter of Samajwadi party, but this has proved that there is a group that survives on falsehood on Gujarat. If even a little part of truth comes to light, this group starts campaign against.”

“In past Amitabh Bachchan, Kerala MP of Communist party, Maulana Vastanavi also faced this,” Shri Vyas said.

“An anti-Gujarat gang should be identified. Shahid Siddhiqui episode has again exposed this gang,” he said.

It should be mentioned here that the Samajwadi Party on Saturday distanced itself from Shahid Siddiqui, saying he is no longer a part of the party. The announcement came two days after he interviewed Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi for the Urdu newspaper he edits.

Siddiqui is the editor of Urdu weekly Nai Duniya. He recently interviewed Modi.
