Modi announces new Surendanagar- Dudhrej-Wadhwan Urban Development Authority

Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi today announced the formation of Surendranagar-Dudhrej-Wadhwan Urban Development Authority with Surendranagar as its headquarters for an integrated all round planned development of the region.
The Surendranagar’s District Collector will be the Chairman and Surendranagar’s Prant Officer the Secretary of the Authority.
The Authority will encompass 24 villages in the surrounding areas under its jurisdiction. The three earlier separate development authorities for the three towns now stand dissolved.
