Narendra Modi makes four major announcements for Rajkot, Jamnagar and youths(Video)

- Upper age bar in state government jobs increased from 25 to 28, from 28 to 30

- Five year relaxation given to the candidates of SC/ST, socially-educationally backward sections and women at present will be continued and adjusted accordingly

- Scholarship increased from Rs.1800 to Rs.2500 for first/second/third winners of national level competitions

- Winners of school level competitions will be given Rs.2000 instead of Rs.1200

- Honorarium paid to the sports teachers serving at sports competitions will be increased from Rs.30 per day to Rs.150

- taluka status to Vinchhiya town of Jamnagar district

- 25% increase in FSI in construction for Rajkot city

- changing the pattern of low-rise building from 1+3 to 1+4 in Jamnagar city

Speaking to a large gathering of youths today at Rajkot as a part of Vivekananda Yuva Parishad the chief minister Narendra Modi called upon the youths to teach lesson to the current rulers at Centre who has dragged the country in a gloomy condition. The chief minister also made a slew of announcement with a view to encourage sports, capacity building and soft skills development among youth.

The chief minister announced to increase the upper age bar in state government jobs from 25 to 28. For the jobs having upper age bar of 28, it is increased to 30. The five year relaxation which is being given to the candidates of SC/ST, socially-educationally backward sections and women at present will be continued and adjusted accordingly.

Earlier the first/second/third winners of national level competitions were given scholarship of Rs.1800, which has been increased to Rs.2000. Winners of school level competitions will be given Rs.2000 instead of Rs.1200. Honorarium paid to the sports teachers serving at sports competitions will be increased from Rs.30 per day to Rs.150, with a view to encourage youths and teachers. “For bringing out sporting talents of youths we have set up Sports University, in which we will also take support of internationally noted sportsman like Gagan Narang”, he said.

Chief Minister also announced giving taluka status to Vinchhiya town of Jamnagar district, 25% increase in FSI in construction for Rajkot city, and changing the pattern of low-rise building from 1+3 to 1+4 in Jamnagar city.

To a statement of a Congress leader that ‘there can be no comparison between Rahul Gandhi and Narendra Modi, as Rahul Gandhi is a national leader and Narendra Modi is a regional leader’, Mr.Modi said, “Rahul Gandhi is not just a national leader but an international leader. He can contest election not only in India but in Italy also. As far as I am concerned, I am committed to the service of Gujarat.”

The Congress has not cared to fulfill the promises it made before 2004 and 2009 elections. They have played vote bank politics and deceived people by making false promises, he said.

Speaking on the occasion the MP and well-known cricketer Navjotsinh Siddhu called upon youths to follow the ideals of Swami Vivekananda. He wished that Gujarat will keep attaining new heights of development in the leadership of Mr.Modi.

On the occasion the Chief Minister felicitated Olympic bronze medalist Gagan Narang, cricketers Cheteshwar Pujara and Ravindra Jadeja. He also distributed sports kits which will be handed out to youths through Vivekananda Yuva Kendra. Finance Minister Vajubhai Vala presented shawls to the sportspersons who have made proud to Gujarat in the field of sports. The players include Jaydev Shah for cricket, Juhi Kothari for table tennis and Rajavi Kaniya, Jaypal Upadhyay, Hemraj Patel for swimming. Minister Vasuben Trivedi and cricketer Rajiv Kumar felicitated Yoga player Rashmi Khadbhava, Dipaksinh Talaviya and Bharti Parsana.

Minister Dilip Sanghani, Rajkot city and district administration, Rajkot mayor Janak Kotak, Municipal Commissioner Ajay Bhadu, former mayor Dhansukh Bhanderi and others conveyed well-wishes to Mr.Modi on his birthday.

Minister of State for rural development Mohan Kundariya, Minister of State Vasanbhai Ahir, former MP Vijay Rupani, Gau Seva Ayog’s Dr.Vallabh Kathiriya, MLAs Govind Patel, Bhanuben Babariya, Bharat Bodhara, Pravin Mankadiya, Kantibhai Amrutiya, Jasuben Korat, Vandanaben Makwana, Secretary in-charge of Rajkot district Mr.Rajgopal, Secretary for Youth and Cultural Activities department Bhagyesh Jha and youth in large number were not present on the occasion.

    There must be academic education channels where the expert teachers’ lectures with scheduled intervals, special subject lectures etc. must be broadcast for benefits of students. There may be TV broadcast for students in the schools. concepts of visiting teachers, exchange of students, special labs, special academic museums may be thought of for education of students.
    For the people the special channels to educate them for their rights, direct broadcast of working in the office of the governments, broadcast of panchayat in session, general meetings of taluka and district panchayat, data of the disposal of complaints etc,. can be thought of for the people.
