Ahmedabad, 20 October 2012
The organizers of Navratri events in Ahmedabad started worrying about the weather on Saturday afternoon after sudden entry of clouds in the sky. The clouds are so dense that at around 3.00 pm the atmosphere outside looks like an evening time.
It should be mentioned that sound and light instruments and other things worth crores of rupees are lying in open at various Navratri venues at present, and even light rain can make damage during the week-end when highest number of people are expected to come to the Garba grounds.
When contacted, the Indian Meteorological Department(IMD) official based in Ahmedabad told DeshGujarat that the clouds are not likely to bring any amount of rain.
“The clouds are in the sky today, due to western disturbances, but they will not bring rain, the sky will be normal tomorrow,” an official at IMD told DeshGujarat.
