Ahmedabad, 30 November 2012
Sulking senior Gujarat Congress leader and AICC delegate Narhari Amin today said that there is intense groupism in Gujarat Congress and various leaders fight with one another to finalize the candidates of their choice.
Amin said the party is divided in various factions. He said there’s rivalry among senior leaders for becoming Chief Minister and this is ruining party’s chance to win Gujarat.
Amin said Congress is not able to win Gujarat for last 17 years not due to party workers, but due to senior party leaders.
Amin said Congress was in good position in last one year, but the situation went worst in last one and half month during ticket distribution.
He said party workers are angry and unhappy.
Amin said he was denied ticket because he lost twice in past, but that was 2002 and 2007 when urban Gujarat was with BJP in the backdrop of Godhra.
Amin didn’t deny an option of joining BJP, but said he would consult his supporters and take decision.
