Ahmedabad’s S.G.Highway, ISKCON circle based Big Bazar super store has been closed for visitors for last week or so.
This is third Big Bazar outlet witnessing closure in Ahmedabad in last five years. Earlier Big Bazaar had closed its outlets in Bapunagar and Shyamal crossroads.
With closure of ISKCON circle based super store, Big Bazaar has now two super stores left in Ahmedabad; one at 10 acre mall in Raypur area and another at Himalaya mall on Drive-in road.
DeshGujarat contacted Big Bazaar and received the details that existing superstore at ISKCON circle will shift to Acropolis mall near Home Town on Thaltej cross roads. The shifting process will take around two months time. DeshGujarat couldn’t confirm what would be the future of existing property at ISKCON circle.
It should be mentioned that near ISKCON circle which is the heart of S.G.Highway – the prime property place in Gujarat – Gallops mall, Fun Republic and Dev-Arc mall have failed to perform. While Fun Republic is closed for last several years, Gallops mall is totally vacant. Major portion of Dev-Arc mall is still unoccupied inside the main building.
