Ishrat encoutner:Gujarat HC raps CBI

The Gujarat High Court today reprimanded CBI for delay in filing charge sheet in the Ishrat Jahan encounter case. The court asked CBI not to gloss over failure to file charge sheet. The court asked the agency to streamline its investigation and focus on encounter part. The court told the agency that genuineness of Intelligence Bureau inputs is not focus of the case.
The court asked govt lawyer Tushar Mehta to hand over the material like taped conversation between a Pakistan-based terrorist and one of the four persons killed by the Gujarat police in the encounter, to the CBI.
