  2. Bapty.s says:

Very difficult to comment on public reaction, but. The ART EXHIBITION HALL AND ART WORK. BELONGS TO THE EXHIBITIONIST. IN MY HUMBLE OPINION, PERHAPS. THE PUBLIC COULD HAVE. ASKED OR REQUESTED THAT THE PAKISTANI ART WORKS SHLD BE REMOVED FROM DISPLAY, INSTEAD OF. DESTROYING THE PIECE OF ART.

WELL THESE ARE ONES OWN OPINION.

  3. Eternal says:

What a shameful act! I wish the perpetrators of this crime are punished, in fact they are caught red handed so there is no reason why they should not be put in prison. I am pretty much sure if these hooligans were asked to serve at border, they will be the first to run away.

I understand we are having a conflict with Pakistan at this time but you are not going to win this conflict by destroying paintings of their artists.

    • रूद्र says:

Who allowed Pakistani Artists in India? And surprisingly, there is no Hindu in 11 Paki artists. Are all Hindus dead in pakistan? Artists from such racist nation should be boycotted world over.

    • Zubair Ahmed says:

Religious extremism is the cancer for both India and Pakistan. It is destroying art and literature, and all moral values. It should be stopped.

      • Vikram Pancholi says:

I have never seen this “Zubair Ahmed” comment on DeshGujarat until this incident. Why have you not commented on the hundreds of other articles here before?

So tell me Zubair, are you a Pakistani or an Indian sympathizer of Pakistan?

  4. amit bharti says:

These pakis forgot that they were in heartland of Hindu”Sthan”.
Gujarati Firgive but never Forget. Ask Gandhi & Sardar.
Gujaratis will die of thirst but won’t drink from “Secular” “Parab”.

  5. Soham says:

    I do not support this.

  6. upen says:

ok…Eternal, can you go and showcasing exhibition in pakistan???
why you people loves for pakistan???
why all artist not creating the pressure on both governments???
why they are talking and teaching very sweet & nice on the art???
They want to make & earn money only…
They don’t love nation and people…
They are doing their business on the name of art only…

    • AB says:

these D**KHEADED need to be punished for what they did because I am doing art and I know how much time it takes to produce a piece of art. Anyways what if Pakistani have done the same thing to Hindu artists? and another thing is STOP BEING RACISTS!

  7. Rohit says:

Some people in our country have extra love or inferiority complex to Pakistani despite them being terrorist failed state. In everything they want India to join this rough state despite it harboring anti India elements, printing fake Indian currencies, doing everything to harm India. Now I regret damage to artists even Pakistanis what is need to hold such displays in such hostile time. Why not to hold it for Nepalese or Srilankan or Chinese artists with Indian and why only with such enemy state. If it was international art display with all countries then it is ok.

  8. uttam says:

POLICE MUST INVESTIGATE THIS…THIS IS AN ATTEMPT TO DEFAME MODI GOVERNMENT…I AGREE WITH THAT PAKISTANI ARE NOT ALLOWED TO DO ANYTHING IN FORM OF MUSIC,PAINTINGS,CRICKET…..BECAUSE PEOPLE INCREASE VALUE OF THAT PEOPLE…ANY COST PAKISTANI AND BANGLADESHI ARE NOT ALLOWED IN INDIA…HERE SOME PEOPLE DESTROY THEIR PICTURE THAT IS NOT GOOD….AND ALSO INVESTIGATE WHO INVITE THEM….THEY ARE MORE DESHDROHI …..

  9. Patel says:

Sad thing, No one should not stoop to this level. I support Modi whole heartly and hope this people are punished by the law for their deeds by government.

  10. KR says:

    બજરંગ દલ વાળા બુદ્ધિ ના લઠો. હનુમાન દાદાનું નામ શું કામ બગાડો છો?

  11. PaRaDoX says:

What right do these people have to destroy a work of art? If this has been done in reference to the ceasire violation by Pakistan then this absolutely bizzare. People should know to act better. Incidents like this show Gujarat’s name is bad light. The police should act swiftly and such exhibitions should be guarded properly to avoid further incidents of this kind.

    • Tahira, USA says:

This just goes to show that there are intolerant people on both sides of the border. At least in Pakistan, they have not destroyed Art belonging to other nations so India is one step ahead in terrorism of the lowest kind.

      • secular_hindu says:

        Tahira,
That may be because your Pakistani ancestors already destroyed all non-Islamic art many years ago.

Lets not be holier than thou here. Both our societies are going in a dangerous direction. Lets try to fix it. Not try and say who is worse in a race to the bottom.

      • Vikram Pancholi says:

Good joke Napunsakistani Paki. If there were an Olympics for Terrorism, you people would win Gold, Silver, and Bronze in every event.

Not all Pakistani’s are terrorists but all terrorists are Pakistani’s.

Good job VHP. If they come again, smash their paintings again, and then bash them up as well.

  12. vishalbheeroo says:

Wah wah Ram ke naam pe danga..VHP doesn’t have anything to do..bloody morons…

  13. Nishant says:

I absolutely condemn this, make them go and stand at the borders… this is no way to protest, you only end up making a fool out of yourself.. I suspect these were NSUI members… anyone?

  14. Nikhil says:

I don’t know what to say. Everyone says Gujarat is the most prosperous state of India with so much development and wealth. But if still people behave in a archaic and barbaric manner then I don’t think there’s any value of Growth and development. There is NO use of money if the mind of people is still in early man’s time. People really need to grow up and do something about it. For me, Gujarat is a miserably failed state and I don’t see any changing it’s future till the time they have leaders like Narendra Modi.

  15. ashish says:

abhi tak india pakistan pe atke hai aur hum honge kamayab ek din gaate hai. kya baat hai.

  16. Kevin Murray says:

This is a sad day not just for India and Pakistan, but for the world.

Art is dangerous. It can lead to increased tolerance. That’s why some want to destroy it. They don’t want understanding between peoples, only hatred.

  17. Abrar R says:

Although bhartis have every right to respond the way they like, but this demeanor is not one of a large hearted people. Let conflicts be resolved the way conflicts should be resolved, on the table or in the battle field. Bharti establishment seems desperate to wage one but cannot gather the courage. As for Pakistani ceasefire violations, its stupid to believe an army engaged heavily internally would poke needles left right center. This is the last thing on Pakistani establishments mind. Trying throw a fist when someone is down is again not certainly an act of a large hearted people either. Lets kool this down and work on feeding the millions of hungry each sides of the border.

  18. secular_hindu says:

Destroying art is tragic, a crime. This is someone’s hard work that some Hindiots decided to destroy because they were irritated for some reason.

This is Modi’s Gujarat, so I’m sure none of these guys will be prosecuted.

I only wish I had been there with a high-powered rifle to take out these cowardly thugs so they got what they deserved.

    • Vikram Pancholi says:

      Secular Hindu? Nice try mullah.

You could have a gun in your hand and these guys (VHP) would still make you pee in your burkha.

      • secular_hindu says:

Definitely a Hindu. But I have friends and relatives who are Muslim, Christian and Parsi. I am loyal to them.

I have beaten up VHP/RSS thugs before, in my younger days. I am happy to do it again.

If you guys continue along this path there will be civil war. If you like this country like I do you must stop.

  19. Raheel says:

Its not about India & Pakistan, as ART has no Nationality. I think its the way people want to see their world.

  20. Sabiha says:

The reaction of the Indians is very predictable.Thease are educated people from the largest democracy in the world.Small hearts, small minds.Thank God for Pakistan.Thank God we made it.Two hoots for aman ki asha, the biggest tamasha.

  21. Asma Mahmood says:

The day India and Pakistan realize that people may have different Gods but same culture and bloodline, the day we realize that religion is always changing but cultures evolves from strength to strength, the day Pakistan realizes that India is like older brother and India realizes that Pakistan is the extension of India’s reality along with Bangladesh we will find that suddenly subcontinent has become the most progressive and prosperous region in the world..with most educated , vibrant and colorful youth anywhere in the world.. a real powerhouse that will rise above and beyond hate generated by religious zealots and self interest groups..Artists will make more paintings but people of Gujrat have denied themselves a good experience to learn about Pakistani artists ..Mansoor Rahi is Bengali from Pakistan, and Pakistan is 1/5th of India population and Hindus are just .5% of the population. However many of them are in the field of arts including many working for Pakistan TV and private channels. However that is not the issue.. If Muslims of India destroyed their own cultural heritage then it is their loss and their children are deprived of their inheritance..Arab are not our ancestors.. Hindus are and that heritage is just as much ours as is Taj Mahal and other Mughal relics are of Hindus of India. Look past the religious face and you will see your own face reflected back..

  22. Aftab Zafar says:

The vandalism on the exhibition of Pakistani and Indian Artists at Ahmadabad on August 13 2013 was predigest act from Indian people but I am not surprised because Hindus are very narrow minded people and mentally they have not accepted Pakistan as Independent Nations even after 66 years. It was the big mistake of Gallery 6 to trust on Hindus by putting this show in India and became the cause to insult Pakistani artists and the Country. I suggest that before doing any dealing with India one should know the history that why Pakistan came into being and why our great leader Quaid-i-Azam took this great step for the Independent state of Pakistan especially for Muslims of sub continent. in 1947 Nehru said Pakistan will survive not more then 6 months but by the grace of Almighty Allah it is still surviving and will remain forever.
