In pictures/videos: Art exhibition showcasing paintings of 11 Pakistani artists stormed in Amdavad

A painting exhibition showcasing artworks of Pakistani artists was today ransacked, and almost all paintings were destroyed.

‘An art affair’, an exhibition of artworks by veterans and contemporary artists from India and Pakistan oraganized by International Creative Art Centre(ICAC) curated by Ravindra Mardia was inaugurated on Tuesdaay at Amdavad ni Gufa by Sonal Ambani and Vrundavan Solanki.

40 artworks of five Indian artists namely Prakash Wagmare, Vinod Sharma, Virangana Soni, Pisurwo Suralkar and Mukesh Hattarge, and eleven Pakistani artists namely RM Naeem, Mansoor Rahi, Mutaib Shah, Mughees Riaz, Irfan Gul Dahri, Mussarat Nahid Imam, Abid Hasan, Abrar Ahmed, Akram Spaul, Sana Arjumand and Aqeel Solangi had been put up for the exhibition. Four of the Pakistani artists who had displayed their works are internationally acclaimed and their works were auctioned at the Christi’s auction.
