Rain cools Ahmedabad as daytime temperatures fall across Gujarat

Ahmedabad: Amid the rainy weather in many parts of the state, a significant drop in daytime temperatures has been recorded in many cities, including Ahmedabad. According to an India Meteorological Department (IMD) daily weather report, the maximum temperature in Ahmedabad was recorded at 32.2 degrees Celsius on Friday, which was 3.8 degrees below normal. The city also received 16.4 mm of rainfall.

The maximum temperature in Vadodara was 31.6 degrees (2.7 degrees below normal), in Amreli 30.7 degrees (3.7 degrees below normal), in Gandhinagar 34.5 degrees (2.7 degrees below normal), in Surat 29.0 degrees (2.8 degrees below normal), and in Rajkot 34.5 degrees (0.5 degrees below normal).

On the other hand, the effect of heat remained unchanged in some areas of North Gujarat and Kutch. Deesa recorded the highest temperature in the state at 39.2 degrees Celsius, while Bhuj recorded 38.2 degrees Celsius, Kandla 37.6 degrees Celsius, Okha 35.2 degrees Celsius, and Naliya 35.0 degrees Celsius.
