please put two or three dustbin. i read all facility inside but i do not find that. one more suggestion bus driver and conductor must be atleast graduetes and non smoker not even chewing tobacco. they must have to passed exam by rto and gujarat tourisom corporation.they must understand safty aspect by all mean. conducter is responsible person to maintain all interior and cleanliness inside the bus. if this two guys follow all rule regulation then they can handle and force people to act resposibly

    CITY ON THE MOVE
BRTS buses to make travel for kids comfortable
    Kumar Manish | TNN

Ahmedabad: Kids will be the special guests in the newly launched metallic silver coloured Bus Rapid Transit System (BRTS) buses once they gets rolling.
Ahmedabad Janmarg Limited (AJL) authorities are mulling over possibilities of having separate seating facilities for kids riding on BRTS buses.
A senior AMC official says, “We are working on improvisations required in the prototype of BRTS bus. At present, seating facilities for kids have not been taken care of. We want to make travel for families with kids comfortably.”
“We might introduce a small set for kids to travel comfortably. But, we are looking into the legalities of such provisions.” adds the official.
AJL will be run by AMC, Ahmedabad Urban Development Authority(AUDA) and Government of Gujarat which will govern the BRTs operations.
Talking about the intial feedback received f ro m p u bl i c and experts, a senior A M C official said, “The feedbacks are mostly related with the appearance of the facade, humps in the interiors and rough edges. But, most of them appreciated the comfort factor and spacious interiors of the bus.”
“We have already started working on the suggestions” adds the official. The much awaited prototype BRTS bus glided at GMDC bus stop on BRTS corridor on Friday.
On the prototype BRTS bus, HM Shivanand Swamy, Associate Director, CEPT says,“This is a customised bus suited for Bus Rapid Transit System in the city. And this is going to be the model BRTS bus for other city to follow in the near future. The bus takes care of all the necessary comfort factor, swanky look and affordable pricing.”
In the first phase of BRTS, AMC will be running ten Air Conditioned (AC) and forty non-AC buses of same built.
The BRTS will have exclusive bus lanes down the central corridor, platform-level boarding, higher-capacity, and an integrated management structure.
    BUS ON TRACK
BRTS bus will follow a strict schedule with close monitoring on arrival and departure of each BRTS bus through operating centre.
Wider space for mixed traffic has been provided by pushing the bus stations slightly away from the junctions to enable quick clearance of traffic.
Improved junction geometry and automatic traffic signalling system has been planned on the corridor to increase the overall junction capacity, thereby improving speeds for both BRTS bus as well as mixed traffic.
Route rationalisation of AMTS and BRTS is being done and a synchronised system will follow to avoid any confrontations between the two bus service.
Fibre moulded seats adapatable to extreme temperatures.
GPS enabled driver console for real time tracking of buses and message sending to the driver.

  10. Abru says:

I dont think anybody has to feel proud of introducing BRTS in Gujarat.. Bangalore is the first to introduce BRTS in INDIA . Its been 8 to 9 years after introducing BRTS. BMTC introduced the first low floor bus(AC & non AC), first to introduce vestibule buses, First to introduce automatic doors, first transport corporation in INDIA to incurr huge profits(stands first according to a newspaper report), first to introduce 1500 VOLVO city buses each costing around 75 lakhs, first to introduce MARCO POLO,BRAZIL city buses(AC,Low Floor), first to introduce Lane sytem for buses, first to introduce GPS tracking system for buses.. and many more on the way.. other bus corporations have started following the path of or following the model BMTC, BRTS.. Gujarat BRTS is nothing new and its not so unique…

  11. Abru says:

i forgot to tell.. first to introduce Air Conditioned Bus Shelters and smart card cum bus passes were introduced 2 years back..

  12. Uday says:

Just making lanes for buses & Hi fi bus stops does not provide complete Bus Rapid Transit system.

BRTs system is incomplete without “proper traffic management” system .Brts system in other countries also provides “Transit Signal Priority” at traffic signals to public buses & other Emergency vehicles like fire engines ,ambulances etc .

This important aspect is missing in the specifications provided by CEPT for traffic signalling system at Ahemadabad .

  13. who is Abru??????
why he or she is doing BUKWASSSSSSSSS?
DONT do comparison of any city with any city. All cities are respectful. All cities cant progress on same time. All are progresss on own time.

  14. ANIL CHHUGANI says:

  17. paren says:

    i really like this service

  18. LOKESH TAILOR From Naroda says:

This is really outstanding public transportation facility that would be provided by BRTS, Ahmedabad and hats off to our honorable Chief minster Mr.Narendra modi and their administration. well in regarding to this, i think it would be a good idea if they will look forward to provider a bus schedule or guide map in the bus about the different stops coming on particular route so it would be quite convenient for the passengers. and one more thing that All the drivers should be well trained and have good qualification( at least graduate) so he can communicate properly with the passengers and clear that doubt about the bus stops and route. drivers should be provided a good uniform so its looks so elegant and decent and unique.

  19. Krupa vyas says:

It is really very proud to b an Indian , wether u r in India or not . This is really gr8 pics i ever had , thank you :D
