‘Film star MP would not be able to spend time for Vadodara’

Amid possibilities of Smruti Irani’s candidature from Vadodara Lok Sabha seat, sitting BJP MP from Vadodara, Jayaben Thakkar expressed reservations that the film star candidate would not be able to give enough time to the constituency.
Talking with E TV Gujarati, two time BJP MP from Vadodara, Jayaben Thakkar said “in Dipika’s case, the party already experienced that stars could not allot enough time to the political job once elected.”
Jayaben was referring to Ex-MP Dipika Topiwala who was elected from Vadodara on BJP ticket. Dipika Topiwala had played Sita’s role in Ramayana TV serial and on this basis she was given a BJP ticket. After brief role in politics as Vadodara MP, Dipika retired and never looked back to acting or politics.
“The people of Vadodara are very alert. They would follow their MP again and again until the work is done. A Film star would not be able to attend the constituency. However party’s decision would be final,” Jayaben said.
Last year ‘Sans Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi’ fame T.V. star turned BJP leader Smruti Irani visited Vadodara thrice to attend various functions. Smruti also bought a flat here.
It should be noted that when party observers visited Vadodara, none of the party workers suggested Smruti’s name but then after in a press conference held at Ahmedabad, party’s spokesperson Vijaybhai Rupani clarified that even if Smruti’s name was not suggested by any of the workers at bottom level, ultimate decision in this regard would be taken by the party high commands in Delhi and all the workers would be happy to welcome it.

correct mam. you are right. i can’t understand that how can film star be a part of contitution. it is unfair to others workers in the party to get chance. that’s why i am saying that there must be compitition of ticket getter in the live gujarati news show. people should know that which member are doing what? and how? for that there must be compitition between party members,m.p, m.l.a also. all who enter in politics must respect gujarat law,people and thier ambitions. make some valuable discuss between political party members. make them watchable on t.v. set.
people must know the real situation in gujarat. make them live and seprate news channel for gujarat(honest).

Smruti Irani must not be given ticket anywhere in Gujarat. We dont want any film stars here. Smruti Irani had openly blamed Narendra Modi with Pramod Mahajan, after loosing 2004 election. If she is given ticket, BJP may loose a seat for sure. Gujaratis are not fools.
kamlesh is right,she is not deserve for the ticket,in vadodara give ticket to whom is high profile ,transperant,hardworker ,in vadodara according to me jayaben paresh raval,smruti irani,they all are not fit for vadodara,because since last 10 years no candidates has work for vadodara,but still people of vadodara towards bjp,i am sure if bjp select candidate from above three,defenateley bjp lose the seat,if suppose win on the name of narendra modi,they will just responsibility for vadodara.
