Gujarat’s 6 Jawans gave their life for the nation in 2008-09

After 2007, at least six Gujarat brave men in uniform gave their life to protect the nation. Families of these jawans will be given honor by Surat based Jai Jawan Samiti on 26 July Kargil Divas.
Mehsana’s Ambeshankar Yadav was killed during a gunfight with Jihadi terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir on 14 January, 2008. Bharuch’s Vijay Vasava was killed by Naxalite Maoists in Chhattisgadh on 4 September, 2008. Panchmahal’s CISF Jawan Kirtansinh Solanki was killed in Orissa during a fight with Maoists on 13 April, 2009. Gandhinagar’s Dilipsinh Chavda gave his life in Jharkhand’s jarka village during a fight with Maoists. Umargam’s Nargol village’s Nitinchandra Bhagat was killed in a fight with Bodo militants on 17 April, 2009. Lastly, Ahmedabad’s Major Rushikesh Ramani was killed in Jammu and Kashmir last week during gun fight with Pakistani Jihadi militants.
Jai Jawan Samiti of Surat was formed at the time of Kargil war. Samiti honors and gives financial help to families of martyred in Gujarat since then.
