Gujarat Chief Secretary Rajgopalan gets five months extension

Rajagopalan took charge of Chief Secretary post in September 2008 from Manjula Subramanyam
Gujarat Chief Secretary D. Rajgopalan who was to retire on July 31, has got five months extension on his existing post by the Gujarat government.
The Gujarat government had sought six-month extension for Rajagaopalan but the Central government granted only five months extension.
Rajgopalan who was Industries Secretary previously, played important role in successfully organizing Vibrant Gujarat Global Investors Summit and negotiating arrival of Tata Motors’ Nano plant in the state.
Border range DIG transferred
Meanwhile in another development Gujarat’s Border range DIG Vipul Vijoy has been transferred to Delhi. Rajkot Border range DIG Manoj Shashidhar has taken over extra charge of Border range.
