Veer Hamirsinhji Gohil’s statue to be erected in Somnath

A statue of Gujarat’s one of the medieval bravery icons Veer Hamirsinhji Gohil will be erected at Somnath next month.
A statue of 15 ft height has been made at a cost of Rs. 35 lakh in Rajasthan. Hamirsinhji Gohil is sitting on a horse with his weapons dressed in traditional Gujarati dress in the statue.
Three-day celebration has been planned between 6 to 8 November to mark respect to Shri Hamirsinhji Gohil.This celebration will be inaugurated by ex-Chief Minister and Somnath Trust trustee Shri Keshubhai Patel and presided by Gohilvad Rajpur Samaj President Shri Parbatsinh Gohil. Events such as sword fight, horse race, horse decoration will take place on 7th of November.
