2 choppers,400 jawans,30 speed boats to secure Gujarat coast

The government of Gujarat has chalked out a fool-proof coastal security action plan that includes 2 helicopters, 400 marine commandos, 48 coastal posts, 28 marine police stations and 30 speed boats.
According to Gujarat Police Chief S.S.Khandawawala, 100 police commandos are presently being trained by ex-Army and NSG officials in Rajasthan. More 300 cops will be sent for training in next three batches.
Centre has approved 30 speed boats for Gujarat coast. Of this 9 boats are already arrived.
Out total 28 marine stations planned, 10 are now operational. Two helicopters with state-of-the-art communication system and patrolling camera will be procured in final stage.
