Rain at this juncture can harm cotton, vegetable crops

Any amount of shower is not good for farmers of Gujarat at this time, the Director of Agriculture department Shri Chaudhari said today.
Chaudhari said, cotton crop is standing in the farms of North Gujarat and Saurashtra area. If there is rain at this juncture, it would definitely damage the cotton crop. The other major crop that could be harmed by rain at this time is – vegetables. Cloudy atmosphere of last couple of days can also increase insects harmful to standing crop.
