Leopard kills two women in Gujarat village

A leopard killed two women in Ishwariya village near Veraval yesterday night.
The attack of leopard was so cruel that the local people of Ishwariya village had to struggle hard to rescue a dead body of local woman Bhanuben from leopard’s grip who was killed by leopard first. The leopard immediately attacked another woman after sometime in same village and killed her.
The forest department has set up cages to capture the leopard and in this area and declared Rs 1 lakh compensation to each person killed. It should be mentioned that only before two days, a leopard had attacked a visitor at Girnar hill in Junagadh. Last week, two dead bodies of leopards were found in the state. While one body was found near Rann of Kutch, the another was found in Bhavnagar district. Both leopard were possibly killed. In another incident, a leopard attacked one person in south Gujarat’s Tapi district. One leopard was captured in cage in Amreli district’s Khambha area early this week.
