1348147 students to appear in Gujarat Board Exam March 2010

Principal Secretary of Education Department and Chairman of Gujarat Secondary-Higher Secondary Education Board Shri Hasamukh Adhiya with District Collectors, District Police Chiefs, District Education Officers and Officers of Road and Transport Corporation reviewed the arrangements made regarding Board Examinations, through video conference and deliver proper guidance for well administration during the exams.

Principal Secretary said that about 8,72,616 students in Std.10, about 3,84,874 students in Std.12-General and 90,657 students in Std.12-Science have been registered.

For a smooth administration, 705 centers consisting of 2273 buildings and 28791 classrooms under 63 zonal offices have been allotted for Std.10 exams. Whereas around 38 zonal offices managing 12912 classrooms for Std.12-General exams and 3080 classrooms have been allotted for conducting of Std.12-Science exams.

Hall tickets will be distributed through schools from 18th Feb 2010. Road and Transport Corporation has been requested to arrange for adequate number of buses for the convenience of the students. Also the concerned collectors have been informed to check for uninterrupted electricity supply and to implement strict restrictions on loudspeakers after 10 in night.
