Ahmedabad-Mumbai Shatabdi’s engine uncoupled twice on track!
Valsad, DeshGujarat, 27 February, 2010
In an embarrassing and somewhat strange event for railways, the Ahmedabad-Mumbai Shatabdi express train’s engine was uncoupled twice from the rest of the train while moving on track today.
For some unknown and strange reason, the Ahmedabad-Mumbai Shatabdi express engine first broke its connection with the coaches near Valsar railway station. The engine continued to go ahead, while the coaches stopped on the track after some movement.
As soon as the strange error was realized, it was corrected by connecting the engine and rest part of the train again. But after sometime when same train entered the state of Maharashtra, it faced the same problem again as the engine and rest of the train got detached once again near Palghar. The issue was resolved again after which the train reached Mumbai where it was thoroughly checked by the railway authority.

THE TROUBLE IS SHORT CUTS ARE TAKEN…. NO GOOD RECORDS ARE KEPT AND BLAME GAME BEGINS…. MOST OF ALL INDIANS WHO HAVE LIVED IN INDIA ARE FAMILIAR WITH OUR COURREPT SYSTEMS AND LAZINESS AND NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANYTHING , SENTIMENTS ARE OUR PROBLEM….
THINGS ARE CHANGING BUT CHANGE IS SLOW AND WE HAVE TO LEARN TO LIVE WITH IT…. NO OFFENSE TO ANY ONE BUT WE ARE OUR PROBLEMS….
i was on travellin on this train in C10.. it was a very strange incident… The train was on a very high speed while passin thru Valsad and came to a halt within fraction of seconds. n then it again repeated near Palghar…
I think Railways should do a proper maintenance for such high speed trains…
